VitalCompass Technologies ("VitalCompass," "we," "us") provides a personal healthcare navigation platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. VitalCompass is not a covered entity under HIPAA by default; however, we architect the product with HIPAA-grade safeguards and can execute a Business Associate Agreement with qualifying partners on request.
Information you provide
- Account details: name, email, phone, date of birth.
- Health information you enter: vitals, medications, symptoms, appointments, documents, emergency card.
- Optional caregiver and family relationships you create.
- Payment details processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor — we do not store card numbers.
How we use your information
- To operate the service you asked for: tracking, reminders, reports, AI education responses.
- To secure your account and detect abuse.
- To communicate service updates and, only with consent, product news.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your health information. We share data only with (a) service providers who process data on our behalf under contract (hosting, email delivery, AI inference); (b) caregivers you explicitly invite with the permissions you choose; (c) authorities when required by law.
AI processing
When you use the AI Assistant, your message is transmitted to a third-party AI inference provider to generate a response. Do not include information you would not want processed by an AI service. Responses are educational and are not medical advice.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is scoped per-user through row-level security. Documents are stored in a private bucket with signed, time-limited download links.
Your rights
- Access and export your data from Settings → Data & Privacy.
- Delete your account and associated data from Settings → Data & Privacy.

Children
VitalCompass is intended for users 18 and older. Do not create an account for anyone under 18.
Changes
We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email or an in-app notice.
